Brian Westbrook: Now a Former Eagle

The modern era of the Philadelphia Eagles came one step closer to ending today, as Brian Westbrook will be officially released today.  The team will announce the move at a 3 pm press conference today, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer:

After the departure of Brian Dawkins via free agency last summer and the unfortunate death of Jim Johnson only a few weeks later, this move further depletes the Eagles organization of the leading members of the extremely successful teams through most of the past decade.  Now the only pieces left are Donnie Mac, Big Red, and David Akers.  Half of Jeremiah Trotter too, I guess.
